Canadian Dental Care Program Application (CDCP)

The Canadian Dental Care Program (CDCP) is a $1.3 billion CAD dental subsidy program launched by the federal government in December 2023. It is aimed at Canadian residents without dental insurance and with an annual income of less than $90,000. It will cover in stages: 👶 Children under 18 years old, 👵 Seniors over 65 years old, ♿ Adults with disability tax credit certificates, and people aged 18-64 years old, which will be opened in May 2025. The program is hosted by Health Canada and insured by Sun Life. It covers a variety of services from preventive dental cleaning to root canals, with up to 100% reimbursement of expenses.

Insurance is divided into three reimbursement levels:

• Income less than 70,000 Canadian dollars, insurance reimburses 100% of the expenses
• Income between 70,000 and 80,000 Canadian dollars, insurance reimburses 60% of the expenses
• Income between 80,000 and 90,000, insurance reimburses 40% of the expenses
