New home rental rebate (NRRPR)

Our New Residential Rental Property Rebate ( NRRPR ) Application Service is designed for owners of newly built residential properties or pre-construction units who intend to rent the property on a long-term basis.

We assist with reviewing the required documents, preparing the application information, and submitting the NRRP rebate application.

Eligibility Requirements

You may qualify if:

• You purchased a newly built or pre-construction property that has recently closed, or the closing took place within the past two years; and
• The property is rented to an individual tenant under a valid lease agreement for 12 months or longer.

Documents Required

Please prepare the following:

• Property Purchase Agreement
• Property Closing Documents provided by your lawyer
• Valid Lease Agreement for a rental term of 12 months or more
• Any additional supporting documents requested during the application process

Rebate Payment

By default, the approved rebate will be issued by cheque and mailed to the mailing address provided in the CRA account. You may also receive payments directly into your bank account by setting up direct deposit in your CRA My Account.

Eligibility and the final rebate amount are subject to the specific facts of the property, the rental arrangement, and CRA review and approval.
