Please read the info below before you apply for Departure Tax Your * Your status will change to non-resident, and you might no longer be eligible for Canadian benefits. * Even if you do not reside in Canada, CRA may still recognize you as a tax resident if your primary contact and a direct family member still reside there. If so, you are exempt from filing a Departure Tax application. * You can only change your status as a tax resident if you have lived in Canada for more than 60 months; if not, you cannot file for departure tax. To ensure a smooth application process, kindly review the information below (excluding RRSP, RRIF, TFSA); * Setup CRA Authorization with us * All Investments (stocks, mutual funds, etc) * Business interests (shares, trust, etc) * Other assets (property, loans, T1135, etc) After the meeting, the final cost may need to be adjusted based on your individual situation.
